I recently had the opportunity to visit my village Lamakhu, located in the Khotang District of Nepal, and it was an unforgettable experience. The village is known for its scenic beauty and traditional culture, but what really struck me was the untouched nature of the area.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly villagers, who were eager to show us around and share their way of life with us. The streets were lined with traditional houses, and small shops selling everything from souvenirs to locally-made handicrafts. The village is located in a beautiful valley surrounded by beautiful terraced fields and the sound of the river flowing nearby made it a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

I had the opportunity to take a trip to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site located in the mustang district of Nepal. The journey to Muktinath was long, but the scenery was spectacular. With its untamed mountains and vast, seemingly endless canyons, the Mustang region is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty.
We started our journey in Kathmandu and traveled to Pokhara, a stunning city located in the western part of Nepal, and made our way to Jomsom, the main town of the Mustang district. One of the main highlights was Muktinath which was around 100km away from Jomsom. The journey was bumpy and adventurous. With their snow-capped peaks and lush green valleys, the vistas we encountered were among the most stunning.
With a wide variety of trekking opportunities available for hikers of all experience levels, Nepal is a trekker’s heaven. From the dense tropical jungles of the lowlands to the snow-capped summits of the Himalayas, Nepal has something to offer everyone. Trekking in Nepal is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The Mundhum route is one of Nepal’s most well-known and recently added notable trekking locations. This journey, which is in Eastern Nepal, lets you travel to a distant and pristine area of the country. This trekking route ascends to a height of 4,200 meters above sea level and provides breathtaking views of Cho Oyu, Makalu, Everest, Lhotse, and Shishapangma. The brand-new, unaffected-by-modernity route departs at Diktel Bazar and passes via the beautiful and tiny towns of Chakhewa, Dhotre, Maiyung, RawaDhap, Salpa Bhanjyang, Silchung, Hakule, and Hanspokhari before coming to an end in Bhojpur. Trekkers will traverse gorgeous rhododendron forests, terraced fields, and high-altitude meadows on their journey. The journey travels through the stunning Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, where a variety of wildlife can be seen.
